SOLD Mexican Hand Woven Rug- Black, Red, White and Grey
SOLD Striking handmade wool rug from Mexico. Similar to Navajo weaving, but different in the loom that is used and the finishing of the ends and of course the maker. You will see an almost corrugated look to the end where the base threads are wrapped back around into the rug, a sure sign that this isn't Navajo made on a vertical loom.
Executed in hand dyed and carded wool using black, grey, white, and red. Stepped pyramid borders, with abstract water bug central figure. This rug is in excellent condition with no color run, holes, and it retains all four corner tassels.
29" wide by 61 1/2" long
George uses this as a hall runner, the color palette complimenting his masculine decor. With its durable weave and material, it will last generations.
